Ingredients

1 kilogram of Self-rising flour

200 grams of Lard

150 grams of Fat

1 Eggs

1 tablespoon of Sugar

1 tablespoon of Salt

½ liter of Warm water

1 kilogram of Meat

2 Large onions

1 tablespoon of Paprika

1 teaspoon of Ground chili, salt, and pepper

½ kilogram of Potatoes

100 grams of Seedless raisins

3 Hard-boiled eggs

Preparation

Step 1 : In a bowl, add the flour and make a hollow in the center.

Step 2 : In another bowl, mix an egg with melted lard and fat, salt, and sugar.

Step 3 : Beat the mixture and then gradually add the warm water, mixing very well.

Step 4 : Pour this preparation over the hollow of the flour and gradually combine until obtaining a uniform dough, not too soft nor too hard.

Step 5 : Form two rings with the dough and let them rest covered with a kitchen cloth in a bowl for about 20 minutes.

Step 6 : Meanwhile, wash the potatoes, peel them, and cut them into small squares.

Step 7 : Boil in salted water until half-cooked.

Step 8 : At the same time, cut the meat into small cubes.

Step 9 : Prepare a concentrate with hot water, salt, and pepper, and moisten the meat with two tablespoons of it.

Step 10 : Cook the onion in a skillet with two tablespoons of oil and three of lard.

Step 11 : Then add the paprika, chili, and meat, cooking and stirring constantly.

Step 12 : Add the drained potatoes, season, and let the mixture cool.

Step 13 : Take one of the dough balls, stretch it out, and cut discs to make empanadas.

Step 14 : Place one tablespoon of the prepared filling, raisins, chopped eggs, and olives on each disc.

Step 15 : Moisten the edges of the empanadas with the previously prepared concentrate, fold in half, and seal.

Step 16 : The empanadas can be fried or baked according to each person's preference.
