Preparation

Step 1 : Begin by cleaning the chard and spinach, discarding yellow leaves and part of the stems.

Step 2 : Then, chop them into small pieces.

Step 3 : In a deep saucepan, heat oil and sauté the chopped onion until transparent.

Step 4 : Next, add the chard and spinach, sautéing until they release their water and reduce in volume.

Step 5 : Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper, and add the bay leaves, marjoram, and oregano, reserving the mixture to cool slightly.

Step 6 : In a bowl, mix the sautéed greens with the eggs, ricotta cheese, and grated Grana Padano until you get a smooth mixture.

Step 7 : Meanwhile, prepare a baking dish by lining it with parchment paper and brushing with melted butter.

Step 8 : Place ten sheets of phyllo dough in the dish, brushing each with butter to prevent tearing.

Step 9 : Pour the filling over the sheets and place the cooked eggs in the center.

Step 10 : Cover with two additional sheets of phyllo, also brushed with butter, and create a border with the remaining parts of the sheets, ensuring everything is well covered and sealed.

Step 11 : Finally, brush the surface with butter for a golden touch.

Step 12 : Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes, or until the phyllo is golden and crispy.

Step 13 : The Easter pie can be served hot or cold, according to preference.
